- Provide administrative and technical leadership for a team of over 30 PRA engineers located in multiple locations, including many engineers working from home locations, for customer service and business growth
- Collaborate and ensure effective teamwork with other ENERCON groups for customer support, execution of projects, and business development
- Expand existing Client and new targeted client base, including utility clients
- Manage client interactions and negotiate/control job scope to client and the company's satisfaction
- Aggressively support marketing efforts, including identification of marketing opportunities, proposal preparation, and follow-up
- Identifying and leading growth strategies of the business, including development of new cost-effective applications for PRAs
- Perform and support direct reports on Client projects involving diverse PRA and risk-informed applications projects including: new PRA development (including internal events, internal flooding, fire, seismic, other external events, and low power/shutdown), PRA updates and upgrades, PRA Peer Reviews and Finding Closure Reviews, Risk-Informed Surveillance Test Extensions, Risk Managed Technical Specifications, Risk-Informed Engineering Programs implementation, Tornado Missile Risk Evaluator (TMRE), and Risk Insights to Aging Management and PRA updates for SAMA analysis support for License Renewal, and Risk Informed Security
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an accredited university or equivalent related industry experience
- 10+ years of PRA and risk-informed applications experience in the nuclear industry
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in the power industry
- Professional Engineering (PE) license, SRO, or other nuclear power plant related licenses or certificates preferred
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of PRA-related regulations, industry standards and guidance, and the regulatory processes pertaining to risk-informed applications
- Demonstrated experience interacting with senior utility PRA and licensing management personnel, NRC, EPRI, and NEI
- Must possess knowledge and understanding of nuclear power plant design, engineering, and operations
- Technical writing proficiency including the ability to write concise, complete, and accurate technical reports
- Excellent oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to interface effectively with peers, technical experts, senior management, and clients to develop solutions and negotiate conflicts.
- Self-motivated with the ability to lead, work in, and create a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in time constraining regulatory environment while maintaining a quality product
- Must be able to represent ENERCON and/or clients at NRC and other regulatory agencies’ meetings and workshops
- Must have strong organizational and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated competencies in facilitation and decision-making
- Required to travel up to 30% of the time; duration of travel length varying depending on project and client needs, ranging from several days to one or more weeks at a time. International travel may also be required
