Our client is dedicated to providing students with a unique curriculum to further student's education based on their ability is a seeking a dedicated science tech who will also have some LSA responsibilities. You will be responsible to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for secondary children.Role Overview: As a Science Technician, your responsibilities will include laboratory management, equipment maintenance, experiment preparation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols. Additionally, you will be responsible for inventory control, material handling, and data recording and analysis. You may also have some in class responsibilities assisting with experiments and helping to maintain good classroom behaviour.Key Responsibilities: * Manage laboratory facilities efficiently as a Science Technician.
  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical lessons and experiments.
  • Ensure inventory of laboratory supplies and materials are completed.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support practical sessions and demonstrations.
  • Record and analyze experimental data accurately.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
  • Continuously update scientific knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities.
Requirements: * Degree level qualifications in science or a laboratory related field. (BSc, MSc, PhD level required)
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Each candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required.
