Business DivisionsInvestment BankYour roleAs an infrastructure engineer on our big data platform, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our complex cloud-based (Azure) big data infrastructure.Your primary responsibilities will be transitioning our big data processing and storage capabilities from Cloudera to Databricks, maintaining and enhancing our airflow workflows, providing level 3 production support, enhancing existing monitoring as we all as other infrastructure related platforms, to support scalable, efficient and secure data operations. UBS RecruitingYour teamYou'll be joining a growing Investment Bank application called Evidence Lab focused on alternative investment data. The Big Data team is one of several product teams that make up Evidence Lab who manage a range of Big Data and Infrastructure platforms including Cloudera, Databricks, and Airflow.Your expertise- Proficient in managing and configuring Cloudera clusters with a strong understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components.
- Experience in multiple big data environments such as Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Strong knowledge of Apache Airflow, including creating, scheduling, and monitoring complex workflows.
- Expertise in cloud services and infrastructure, preferably with hands-on experience in Azure. Transferable skills with AWS, or Google Cloud acceptable.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Solid understanding of network architecture, data security, and disaster recovery.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize big data applications and software.
