- Define functional requirements and documentation analysis and develop detailed designs that meet operations requirements.
- Industry 4.0 solution development including data models, data streams, interfaces, and applications.
- Develop, Integrate, and Test MOM/MES applications.
- Design and Develop reports using PowerBI, Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services, and other visualization tools.
- Design and Develop system management utilities to backup, configuration synchronization, data loading and archiving, etc.
- Design and develop custom applications and interfaces among ERP business systems and manufacturing systems.
- Enhance current MOM/MES systems to drive operational metric performance.
- Mentor Junior team members and conduct training where applicable.
- Works in a safe manner at all times. Adheres to both Matrix and client-established safety standards when appropriate.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering Technology and/or Electrical Engineering Technology or related field from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- 10+ years' experience required in Manufacturing Intelligence (applications programming or software integration).
- Application development in .NET and Web-based environments.
- MS SQL Server database experience.
- OSI/PI, Canary, or other Historian experience.
- Certified Developer in multiple SCADA or MES applications.
- Advanced Experience with SCADA level Systems like Ignition, Wonderware, and FactoryTalk.
- Experience with commercial MES Software Solutions such as TrakSYS, SepaSoft, and Aveva.
- Advanced Experience programming in one or more of the following: Visual Basic (VB), C#, ASP, JAVA, Python.
- Advanced Experience with databases in one or more of the following: MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2.
- Excellent communication, innovation, critical thinking, problem-solving, planning, prioritization, project management, teamwork, and organization skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Local travel or travel to alternate work sites may be required to support Matrix clients and projects.
- Overnight travel may be required to support Matrix clients and projects.
- Must be able to travel up to 25%, both locally and overnight.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This employee may perform industrial field work which could include exposure to hazardous locations, inclement weather, moving mechanical parts, noise, ladders, uneven ground, and stairs.
