Job DescriptionJob description:General duties: This position will design, develop, implement, validate, and maintain SDA training and course material at the 319th Combat Training Squadron (CTS), Peterson SFB CO for the Space Battle Management (SBM) course and other courses, as assigned.Experience and Skills Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSpecific duties:
  • Design, develop, and provide classroom instruction consistent with Instructional System Development (ISD) satisfying government training requirements
  • Develop schedules and oversee execution of SDA courses
  • Interface with internal and external agencies as required maintaining up-to-date training program
  • Conduct, manage, and qualify for courses based on 319 CTS instructions and other guidance as identified in lesson plans
  • Coordinate instructional activities with the Division Chief, training managers, and government training personnel
Additional duties as assignedRequired SkillsExperience Required:
  • Expert knowledge with space battle management in the space defense mission
  • Expert knowledge in a Space Surveillance Network (SSN) sensor (Dedicated or Collateral)
  • Ground-Based Electro-Optical Deep Space Surveillance
  • Ground-Based Radar
  • Space-Based Sensor
  • Expert knowledge in SDA tasking processes, analysis, sensor optimization, conjunction assessment, reentry/break-up assessment, and launch analysis
  • Expert knowledge with the joint planning process and course of action development at the strategic/operational level
  • Completion of Air Force Instructor Course (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Modeling and simulation support (preferred)
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Top Secret SCI clearance

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:Education:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in relevant field or 8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education requirement
Years of Experience:
  • 6 to 8 years of experience with USAF/USSF training, to include planning and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model and training records keeping
