- Department management, organization, control and salary administration. Develop Logistics team members and hold accountable for performance and contributions.
- Responsible for distribution spend for the Americas.
- Optimize distribution spend in support of commercial activities sourced from the Americas.
- Responsible for DOT regulatory compliance of product shipments by both business partners via all modes of transportation.
- Develop and implement cost improvement initiatives as related to Logistics to generate added value to the organization.
- Develop and implement innovative programs to improve OTIF and carrier performance.
- Manage and coordinate EHS audits and support product stewardship for freight and distribution service providers as well as to customers as required and requested by the commercial teams.
- Manage and leverage all HPU 3rd parties (bulk, package carriers, transload / warehouse / distribution locations).
- Drive quality performance and accountability as it relates to Logistics activities (OTIF, customer corrective action programs, product stewardship).
- Embed Transportation Management Software solution to enhance logistics execution and spend performance.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical, supply chain, or business field
- 10+ years in Logistics, with proven supervisory experience preferred.
- Process improvement opportunities to advance continuous improvement and promote greater efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of responsibility driving value within the logistics arm of the supply chain.
- Ensure safe and efficient delivery of finished goods within legal limitations.
- Derived value projects – delivering value to the business teams.
- Establish/Maintain working quality improvement process within the Logistics department
- Manage 3rd party audits and comply with Responsible Care driving partner company quality
- Manage customer corrective action program and strive for maximum customer order satisfaction
- Manage loss and damage claims in coordination with Corporate Purchasing & Logistics and Quality & Business Systems teams.
- Improve value over time via innovation and use of technology in the choice in route to market
- Hold team members accountable for developing skills and increasing contributions annually. Re-design job functionality and coverage as appropriate to meet the needs of the business
