The roleAs an SAP BW Technical Analyst, you will be a vital part of our Information Systems team, responsible for delivering all SAP Reporting requirements to our Firm.Your role will focus on hands-on BW and ABAP work, translating business requirements into SAP solutions, and ensuring accurate reporting.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise, and playing a key role in deploying our SAP reporting requirements.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, and other teams to define specifications and reporting scope.
- Design, develop, and implement innovative SAP BW solutions tailored to meet the needs of the firm.
- Manage the BW Transport Management System.
- Maintain the appropriate levels of documentation, knowledge base and skills to ensure the appropriate level of knowledge sharing and minimise dependence on individuals.
- Ensure all BW environments are up to date.
- Deliver on time, in full all requirements scoped.
- Configure, integrate, and deploy software applications, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance.
- Ensure all support tickets assigned are dealt with in a timely way.
- Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot issues, identify solutions, and implement necessary changes.
- Conduct system testing and quality assurance to validate the effectiveness of solutions.
- Provide support to end-users during any roll out.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to technical implementation.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in the implementation process.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and integrate external solutions when necessary.
- Business Objects build and development.
- BW Back End technical skills (Business Content, Custom Extractors and Data Sources, creation of BW Objects).
- Business Explorer tools (Bex Analyser/ Analysis for Office).
- Dashboard/Lumira.
- Role development and maintenance.
- Experience of Data Migrations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving requirements.
- Self-motivating with a flexible approach.
- Effective written, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Mentor to more junior team members.
- Strong ABAP development skills an advantage.
- Detail-oriented and organized, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the implementation process.
- Prior experience in the legal industry is preferred.
