Voted a Top Workplace for 2022 and for the past twelve consecutive years, Fremont Bank has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager, IT in Livermore, CA.Position OverviewSenior Project Manager, IT is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned program/projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. This position will partner with the Management team to plan portfolio, take programs/projects from original concept through to final implementation and close out.This role may define project scope and objectives. In addition, this role develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.This role should be fully proficient in applying established Portfolio and Project Management standards and knowledge; acquired from 5 or more years of direct project management experience. This role is be responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.
This role must be familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Incumbent should have hands-on experience with multiple technologies.Role and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for program/projects, portfolio, planning and execution of projects/initiatives
  • Responsible for leading Portfolio management which includes portfolio planning, budget estimation and management, resource strategy, capacity planning and tracking, financials and risk assessment
  • Lead and drive programs with cross-functional teams, demonstrate a sense of urgency to drive programs and projects to completion and be successful in a collaborative environment
  • Work closely with Business, Product management, Tech teams and stakeholders to collaborate on roadmap planning, dependency mapping, intake and change request process and tracking status
  • Ability to handle multiple strategic projects at any given time like resource strategy, strategic partners engagement, PMO Transformation, etc.
  • Communicate status, issues, and risks to executive level stakeholders
  • Develop plans and track progress of projects to successful completion
  • Develop dependency mapping and track dependencies across complex strategic projects
  • Practice, advocate agile practices in the organization
  • Coaching and mentoring project/program managers in dotted line in the organization
  • Foster a strong work environment that rewards individual and team efforts; encourages creativity while maintaining high caliber productivity and quality
  • Adoption of existing Project Management best practices, including the proficient use of industry standard tools, technologies, and methodologies
  • Well-organized, detail oriented, has great communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Lead ad hoc special projects as needed for the leadership team
  • Flexibility and ability to work collaboratively within a matrix, 'virtual' environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with external vendors.
  • Requires approximately 10% travel depending upon project specifics and business locations
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience
  • 10 + years of Project Manager Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in Program /Portfolio Management
  • Experience with Agile development
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience on working on large scale Digital Transformation initiatives
  • The Program Manager will be interfacing with Executive Level Management and doing process design work
  • Candidates that are strategic thinkers will do well in the role, but open to “be in the weeds” as needed
  • Financial industry experience
