Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.Business Transformation senior managers are critical new roles reporting to the new Business Transformation and Strategy Lead in Transformation Services, a newly created organization charged with the acceleration and delivery of enterprise priorities transforming the company. This role will help execute on business-aligned transformation efforts within the Transformation Management Office (TMO) mandate and will partner closely with enterprises to drive transformation efforts from strategy through implementation and execution.Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with business transformation leads and enterprise leaders to drive transformation efforts from strategy through implementation and execution
  • Develop a deep understanding of the enterprise we are supporting, including its business model, organizational strengths and opportunities, culture, etc.
  • Execute on transformation strategies and roadmaps to meet firm-wide and enterprise-wide objectives
  • Implement critical transformation work, which includes adapting plans as needed and proactively managing risks and issues
  • Communicate to stakeholders, amplify engagement, and ensure needs are met throughout the transformation efforts (e.g., ensuring alignment with the vision, sustaining a sense of excitement and enthusiasm, ensuring field readiness, etc.)
  • Support the broader portfolio of TMO initiatives by providing surge support where needed
  • Help strengthen Schwab’s overall “change muscle” by regularly contributing to transformation best practices and supporting broader Transformation communications
What you haveIdeal Candidate Profile:
  • Business Acumen – Deeply understand company strategy, how transformation ambitions link to the specific workstreams/initiatives; able to forecast workstream performance and suggest interventions
  • Strong relationship builder – Has strong interpersonal skills and teamwork skills to collaborate with workstream owners, business counterparts, etc.
  • Bias to action – Dives into discussions as needed versus solely plan/track 'from the center'
  • Works horizontally – Collaborates across teams in the organization with workstream & initiative owners to manage interdependent complexities, roadblocks, milestones
  • Experience with project management – Able to manage project management resources with governance & routine focus; able to independently track required routine and day-to-day work
  • Strong communication – Has proven strong communication and management skills to increase messaging with TMO team, workstream & initiative owners & teams
Requirements
  • 7+ years of work experience, including 2-3 years of experience in program management, business analysis or strategy, with a consulting firm or strategy group in a large organization
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability developing materials and effectively presenting information
  • Executive presence and relationship management skills; ability to influence leadership and enroll employee support and engagement
  • Expert user of PowerPoint and Excel
