If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Children in Care Social Worker in the Oxfordshire area.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks, in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each child, in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and key stakeholders.
- Regularly review and monitor the progress of children in care, making adjustments to interventions and services as necessary.
- Provide direct support and guidance to children and their families, promoting positive relationships and effective communication.
- Act as a dedicated advocate for children in care, representing their interests in meetings, court proceedings, and other relevant forums.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, assessments, and interventions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration (SWE).
- Demonstrated experience working within children's services, with a focus on children in care.
- Thorough understanding of children looked after legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and associated statutory guidance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and partner agencies.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify needs, risks, and protective factors.
- Ability to manage a moderate caseload, prioritizing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional standards and ethics.
