Located in the vibrant community of Southwark, the school is renowned for providing a highly personalised curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of all our students. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who possesses a genuine passion for working with young people with diverse needs. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of inclusive teaching practices and be skilled in tailoring instructional strategies to suit individual learning styles. This is a part-time role (3 days a week)Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the wider school community, including parents, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Adapt curriculum materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning abilities and styles.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and implementing individualized interventions where necessary.
  • Work closely with external professionals to access additional support and resources for students with special needs.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants in your class and the wider group.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience working with students with diverse needs, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum and experience in adapting it to meet individual learning requirements.
