- Observing, learning, and understanding a wide range of engineering skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff based at GET and Sartorius.
- As the training progresses working independently or within a team, to undertake tasks as instructed and increasing overall contribution to the Facility Maintenance Team.
- To undertake and successfully complete college courses throughout the training period, achieving the academic grades and practical skills in order to achieve the Level 3 NVQ Diploma qualification in Electrical engineering.
- To develop the skills to follow verbal instructions and drawings to a high degree of precision.
- To learn how to maintain the 3 Sites and equipment and to keep it in good repair.
- To work safely, maintain a smart appearance and to act in a professional manner when representing the Company
- Ensure the quality of their work is within required standards
- Operate in conformance with the requirements of the quality system
- Assist in maintaining systems to ensure compliance to ISO 9001, 13485 and regulatory IVD requirements including good documentation practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A high degree of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Attention to detail and the desire to get things right is essential.
- Five GCSEs (Grade C /6 or above), which must include Maths, English and one science subject, together with a real interest in technical matters.
- The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated, committed and hard working.
- Able to work under supervised conditions, as part of a team and also be able to work on their own initiative.
- Enthusiastic, with the desire to listen, learn and ask questions
