Job Title: Project Control Lead- ConstructionLocation :Macclesfield, UKCompetitive Benefit & SalaryIntroduction to Role:Join us as a Project Control Lead within the capital projects team at our Macclesfield Campus, the 2nd largest operational site within AstraZeneca’s global network. This is an exciting new role that will require you to work multi-functionally and engage with people from different areas of the business and functions. You’ll need to have an excellent knowledge of project processes and procedures, financial guidelines and planning strategy and experience of leading a project control team.Accountabilities:As a Project Control Lead, you will be responsible for developing the project controls service for projects, handling the project controls team, providing direct support to the Portfolio Management Lead, implementing and maintaining project control processes for a portfolio of projects, and much more. You will also be responsible for conducting auditing, reviews and approvals as the need arises by the project process, maintaining financial reporting documents and software, producing monthly and ad hoc commercial reporting, and conducting and reviewing feasibility/high level estimates and programmes for future projects.Crucial Skills/Experience:Degree or equivalent experience qualified in either Quantity Surveying or Project ControlsValidated experience in project controls including planning & scheduling, cost management and estimating.Experience of construction and engineering working within the pharmaceuticals industryHands-on experience with cost and schedule risk analysisExperience of working as a line managerIndustry presence & strong professional network in project control subject areasKnowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft ProjectExperience in various software systems including SAP, Contract Management (CEMAR preferred or similar), purchasing software (Coupa preferred or similar), Portfolio management systems and Microsoft Office.Experience in various forms of construction contract.
