The purpose of the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of quality capital works projects for TasWater that will meet the needs of TasWater's business, their stakeholders and the communities of Tasmania for years to come.   • Conduct preliminary commercial evaluation of tenders from subcontractors and appraise bids by liaising with Project Managers and Engineers to assess bids. Also advises unsuccessful bidders of result
  • SAP input and maintenance of purchase orders, including goods receipt, journals and queries
  • Reconcile data from accounts department with site records
  • Maintain systems and procedures for contractual requirements
  • Support end of month process as required
  • Prepare and issue contract documentation, including variations
  • Prepare and issue subcontractor progress claim documentation
What you will have:
  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, commerce or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands
