With revenues of $30 billion and the largest investment in R&D in the industry, we give our people the resources and opportunities to make significant contributions to the world.Position Summary:The Procurement Specialist role will be implementing procurement and sourcing activities, as well as managing relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.   • Carry out procurement and sourcing activities for assigned chemicals, covering three manufacturing facilities in Europe
  • Align with key partners to enable an effective sourcing of materials and suppliers globally developing and running RFx events
  • Run basic cost and scenario analysis to analyze supplier bids to award business in line with established procedures
  • Ensure supply security and sourcing of quality materials at the best cost while mitigating the risks of single/sole source, cost inflation and delivery delay
  • Develop and improve supplier relationships
  • Take part in cross functional continuous improvement work using PPI methodology
  • Maintain alignment and clear communication with Supply Chain, Operations, Product Management and Business Unit teams
  • Implement short- and long-term sourcing plans to mitigate risks
  • Support supplier qualification process to source and qualify new suppliers globally
  • Gather and analyze data using procurement spend analytics tools
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain or other relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 experience in a procurement / sourcing function
  • High level of English language proficiency (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of sourcing strategies and supplier management
  • Knowledge of procurement spend analysis, sourcing, supplier, contract management systems and ERP
  • Experience in chemicals procurement, sourcing or supply chain management preferred
  • Knack to build positive relationships, influence others, and work in tight-knit collaboration with partners across multiple locations
  • Developed interpersonal approach to work in an inclusive environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work hard, prioritize and run multiple projects
