This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact, ignite curiosity, and cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in our learners.Computer Science Teacher Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging and interactive computer science lessons that cover a range of topics, including coding, programming, algorithms, and digital literacy, tailored to the needs and interests of students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, practical demonstrations, and coding projects to introduce students to programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scratch, and develop their computational thinking skills.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore new technologies, collaborate on projects, and develop their problem-solving abilities.
- Assess student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments, including coding projects, quizzes, and practical demonstrations, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth and development.
- Promote a love for computer science by showcasing its relevance and importance in the modern world, and encouraging students to pursue further study and careers in STEM fields.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links, participate in departmental meetings, and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching computer science within a UK school setting is preferred, but not essential.
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
