- Support the store manager in the overall running of the store, including fresh food concepts
- Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working
- Merchandise and present the entire store to the highest standard at all times
- Assist in the supervision of the retail sales team daily and ensure necessary tasks are completed to an appropriate level
- To communicate with the retail sales team regarding in-store sales and promotions
- Ensure that our customers receive the highest level of customer service at all times
- Ensure that any customer complaint is rectified satisfactorily
- To ensure cash handling policies and procedures are adhered to
- To ensure best practice policy is adhered to in terms of merchandising standards, store set up and finish
- Assist the management team in minimising stock loss through stock holding levels, wastage, damages and pilferage
- To assist the store manager in relation to Health and Safety and Consumer legislation
- To ensure that company policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to effectively by the retail sales team
- To undertake other additional duties as assigned by the store manager

- The ability to work in a pressurised environment
