Income Officer Vacancy waiting to be filledVenn Group would like to introduce the following position of ‘Income Officer’ in SheffieldPosition: Income OfficerLocation: SheffieldRate: Negotiable Depending on ExperienceLength: 3 monthsHours: 37.5 hours p/week – no weekend workingThe role will predominantly involve:
  • Being responsible for all aspects of the rent recovery process including chasing arrears over the phone, sending letters, and carrying out home visits
  • Negotiating new payment plans and set up direct debit schemes
  • Liaising with the housing benefit departments to chase back payments and ensure that tenants were maximising their housing benefit
  • Working closely with other teams within Tenancy Services and other departments to ensure effective delivery of services to customers
  • Preparing cases for court using the PCOL system and attended court and evictions on behalf of the organisation
  • Working with tenants both over the phone and face to face, offering advice and guidance in relation to benefit and income maximisation
