Working with a business where employees and customers are always at the core of their values and practices, you will be offered excellent opportunities to develop and progress your career, alongside a competitive salary and benefits package.Job DescriptionThis will be a key role in supporting and developing the data warehouse and reporting capabilities within a global business, in what will be a varied, hands on role.Supporting the data strategy, which will include an Azure implementation and migration, you will have a range of exciting data focused projects to get stuck into. You will be pivotal in helping a range of business areas by maintaining and developing reporting capabilities, across a small, but complex insurance business.Your duties as MI/BI Analyst will include but not be limited to the following:
  • Help implement optimal reporting solutions working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Manage day to day BAU tasks and Support tickets.
  • Project work ensuring relevant deliverables met and implications are fully understood.
  • Maintain regular communication and co-ordination between all relevant users/departments.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of operational business data.
  • Follow best practice change and release processes.
  • Ensure users are engaged and implications of data, analytics, and reporting changes are understood.
  • Ensure data governance procedures/processes are adhered to.
  • Constantly develop technical and soft skills to drive improved performance.
  • Assist in identifying substandard data and provide input into potential solutions.
The Successful MI/BI AnalystWorking within a small, tight knit data and analytics team this role will require you to get involved in various capacities including cloud, ETL and data warehousing tasks, within a function invested in MS technoligies. My client is ideally looking for somebody from the UK, or global insurance sector so as to understand the technology landscape.You MUST have at least 3-4 years' experience within an MI/BI/Data Warehousing capacity, ideally within the insurance sector, and it is fundamental that you have ETL experience, as well as experience with API's, and MS stack technologies including SQL, and Power BI.Any experience with MS Azure, specifically through an implementation would be highly beneficial.Communication skills are of paramount importance in this role, and as such you must be confident in engaging with stakeholders of all levels, with the ability to explain the 'so what' of technical processes to a non-technical audience.Unfortunately this role does not offer sponsorship, and is on a perm ONLY basis.What's on Offer for the successful MI/BI AnalystCompetitive base salary depending on experience, coupled with a good benefits package, bonus, and a good degree of flexible working following the pandemic.
