Reporting into Director, Chequing & Payments, this role will work closely with product peers and cross functional resources to achieve business objectives including revenue, profit, account opens, deposit balances, market share and NPS goals.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.How you'll succeedStrategic Management - Contribute to setting the targets and developing strategic plans to grow payment products in conjunction with chequing account growth. You will assist with annual strategic business plans and business cases and recommendations to drive usage, create operational efficiency and strategic congruence for payment products. Maintain product value propositions and strategies that align to the Simplii brand and franchise strategy. Accountable for performance of Simplii Products KPIs through strategic management and ongoing analysis of trends and the competitive landscape.Risk Assessment - Drive Payments projects (Simplii & Enterprise) as the Business lead, leading discussions with key stakeholders (Tech, Regulatory, Ops, etc.) to make strategic recommendations based on sound business benefits and risk assessment.Compliance - Ensure compliance with policies, standards, guidelines and controls by applying the policies and controls fairly and consistently so employees understand what to expect. Understand the rules & guidelines affecting the debit card and ensure that these are considered for client communications, tech/process updates. Ensure all regulatory, business and financial reporting completed on time and with accuracy.Product Enhancement - Recommend executing and analyzing product and CX enhancements to ensure growth and client loyalty with Simplii Products. Developing product enhancement opportunities that help achieve franchise objectives through assessment of cost/benefits, CX impact, performance and improved alignment with target segments and managing promotional interest expense and product operation costs.Who you areYou can demonstrate experience. You have 5-7 years of experience in a role managing or working as a key stakeholder for payments. A proven technical and operational knowledge on the systems and processes that go into Debit or Credit card transactional processing is a plus.You demonstrate experience in technical projects. You have a track record of managing tech projects and/or process enhancements end-to-end, from inception to delivery and validation.You have a a proven track record of building a product vision. You have knowledge of KPIs rooted in customer needs and successfully achieving the vision through driving the execution.You thrive in a challenging environment. You are comfortable in navigating complex problems to independently develop recommendations aligned with both long term and urgent business priorities.You give meaning to data. You are a veteran user of data to make decisions.You act like an owner.
