We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager PFI to join our Healthcare team covering the Southern UK. In this role you will dispute with the commercial management of individual PFI contracts in all aspects of the operational handback process of the facility. You will instil a commercially astute, best in class approach throughout the wider commercial team and your direct reports and provide exemplary commercial stewardship of a cluster of contracts; developing, maintaining and controlling commercial processes commensurate with Mitie management systems and corporate governance. You will be responsible for overseeing the business to ensure contractual reporting obligations to ensure contractual compliance and strive to develop and secure opportunities and mitigate risks. You will need to Apply commercial best practice in order to measure and guide contract performance, ensuring business processes and practice are conducted in accordance with Mitie's corporate policies and in a way which protects and enhances the performance, professionalism, reputation and image of the company.Responsibilities
  • Be the contractual expert for your Operating Unit, providing timely information, analysis, advice and collaboration to the operational and administration teams
  • Work closely with the operational and administration teams to ensure understanding of the key requirements, including those which affect financial recovery and risk and the commercial / financial analysis of the business
  • Lead on strategic matters across your Operating Unit e.g. benchmarking, market testing, key negotiation on complex change and commercial matters
  • Provide support to identify and price variations (capital works and services) and enforce the requisite contractual processes to achieve proper payment
  • Optimise income, income recovery and profitability to achieve or exceed budgeted financial performance. Regularly monitor income and instigate action to ensure prompt payment
  • Pro-actively monitor and mitigate performance deductions and ensuring good jeopardy management, reporting and actions to mitigate including training/awareness,Ensure the timely and accurate production of contractual performance and commercial Services reporting
  • Support and perform any ad-hoc duties at the discretion of the Account Director or, Head of Commercial, or Commercial Director
  • Liaison with all contractual parties to administer any associated side agreements e.g. interface agreement, fm agreement, project agreement, direct agreement, collateral warranties
We are looking for

  • Commercial management of Contracts in the order of £10m+ per annum of turnover, preferably within the FM market
  • Experience within Healthcare preferable but not essential
  • Financial forecasting, budgeting and analysis is required.
  • A good understanding and experience of PFI contracts preferably in a health environment are key for this role.
