- Consistently provide a friendly and efficient service and demonstrate a strong focus on the customer and on the quality of service.
- Assist in managing all day-to-day operational issues relating to the Restaurant and Bar under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
- Ensuring that the Bar and Restaurant is run efficiently on a day-to-day basis in the absence of the Operations Manager, ensuring adequate staff cover at all times, and delivering friendly, exceptional service to all guests.
- Carrying out the opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, including till reconciliations and other key holder duties.
- Address any customer complaints directly.
- Oversee dining reservations using ResDiary, managing all seating allocations, customer comments, and reservation notes.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with staff and managers at all levels.
- Assist in the management, training and development of all restaurant and bar staff.
- Build strong working relationships with the Head Chef and kitchen team and collaborate closely to drive sales and continually improve standards.
- Participate in regular staff meetings.
- Attend any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.
- Ensure knowledge of the hotel and facilities is up to date in order to upsell at every opportunity and maximise profitability.
- Monitor and observe team members ensuring all Company and Statutory fire, Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations are followed.
- Making sure your personal appearance and uniform are in line with the Resort standards at all times.
- Have a passion for hospitality, great food and great service.
- Have at least 2-3 years of supervisory experience within the Restaurant Industry.
- Have at least 2 years of bar experience.
- Have experience working in a high pace, busy restaurant.
- Be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team.
- You must be performance-driven with a focus on implementing a culture of excellent customer service.
- Have good organisational skills, be able to work well while under pressure, and show initiative whilst multi-tasking.
- Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns including daytime, evenings, and weekends.
- Have exemplary attention to detail.
- Have a sense of pride in the delivery of high standards of presentation and the Galgorm Collection brand.
- Experience working within a hotel environment is preferred but not essential.
