Our ideal candidate is not only knowledgeable about geography but also enthusiastic about making geographical studies accessible and engaging for students with diverse abilities.Key Responsibilities: * Deliver engaging and comprehensive geography lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
- Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to succeed.
- Utilise innovative teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world examples to make geography relevant and captivating for students.
- Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behaviour and encourages a love for geography among students.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Teaching certification in Geography.
- PGCE/QTS/QTLS
- Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory
- Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
- Ability to develop engaging and informative lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Effective classroom management techniques.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
