HSE Officer (Chemical)

• Collaborate on risk assessments and safe work systems.
• Assist in environmental management and report compilation.
• Establish SHE inspection and auditing programs, tracking KPIs.
• Support site safety meetings and communications.
• Devise and implement health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Advise, coach, and mentor on legal compliance.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Support SHE training and manage competency.
• Maintain communication logs for competent authority.
• Ensure emergency preparedness and conduct fire risk assessments.

• Minimum of 5 years of Health and Safety experience in manufacturing, preferably in a high hazard industry, chemicals or COMAH
• Proficiency in risk assessment review and development, incident investigation, root cause analysis, auditing, and report writing.
• NEBOSH certificate essential, NEBOSH diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of current SHE legislation/regulation.
• Practical application of Competence and Training management systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Process Safety, Human Factors, and Behavioral Safety is advantageous.
