- Providing effective leadership, management, and development for the supply chain team
- Analysing supply chain operations, resolving issues, and implementing initiatives.
- Directing the Sales and Operational planning processes for the site, collaborating with key functions, aligning with the medium-term plan, and overseeing production scheduling and execution.
- Supervising the budgeting, reporting, and financial guidance to assess operational outcomes concerning expenses, budgets, operational guidelines, trends, and opportunities for increased profitability.
- Overseeing the company's logistics functions to achieve service, quality, and cost objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Spearheading improvements in supplier performance, particularly in the quality of delivered goods and services, and establishing a robust supply network.
- Negotiating supplier agreements, managing contracts and tenders, and analysing data to monitor supplier performance, expenditures, cost-saving opportunities, and risks.
- Collaborating with the procurement team to reduce raw material costs and enhance supplier flexibility while maintaining exceptional service levels.
- Assessing and managing organisational risk by overseeing part shortages and escalation processes.
- Engaging suppliers in sustainability initiatives to enhance environmental impact.
- Ensuring timely action on material schedules/purchase orders by suppliers and maintaining data integrity and control in planning and supply, including addressing shortages across all commodities.
- Enhancing material replenishment systems and processes to optimise customer service.
- Understanding and implementing ERP and MRP requirements, utilising appropriate functionality within ERP/MRP systems.
- Providing lead-time quotations and driving down lead-times across the product portfolio.
- Ensuring business compliance with industry legislation, accreditation, requirements, and best practice guidelines.
- Strategic procurement and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
