Event and Social Media Coordinator

- Organising in-person events and online travel talks
- Identifying opportunities to represent KILROY at local and national events relevant to our target audience
- Budgeting for events and their promotion to ensure we can host events year-round with the available annual budget
- Maintaining event planning documents that enable the wider team to keep track of what’s planned, the success of the event, costs and learnings for future events
- Promoting events using organic and paid channels, under the supervision of the marketing manager
- Liaising with the design team in Copenhagen HQ to generate creative to promote events and using tools such as Photoshop to edit templates
- Creating content for our social media channels – this will include a mix of images and video
- Working closely with the UK team to ideate topics for events, organise attendance at travel talks and feature the team in our social media content
- You’re an outgoing, confident, enthusiastic individual that loves interacting with new people and presenting to an audience
- You’re passionate about travelling and share our belief in the power of travel for young people
- You have experience planning and hosting in-person events
- You’re detail-oriented and organised, and able to manage multiple responsibilities at once
- You’re proactive and eager to find new opportunities to promote KILROY through events in the local community and further afield
- You love creating content for social media and know your way around Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, and the creative tools they provide
- You’re happy to travel around Bristol and even across the south of England to host events
- You’re comfortable with working evenings and weekends for time off in lieu
