- Build the technical stack: Build and design the technical architecture on which our digital ecosystem can grow and develop.
- You will research and recommend technology and processes to ensure optimal delivery, system performance and cost effectiveness. You will be responsible for defining and developing the Infrastructure and Framework to effectively deliver Web and Mobile solutions built on Cloud platforms, preferably Azure,
- Team Leadership: Build, manage and mentor a high-performing development team for Web and Mobile, ensuring the team has the necessary tools, resources, and support to achieve their goals. Champion best practices across the team in areas such as Quality, Automation, DevOps, CI/CD, Design, and Code Review
- Digital Infrastructure: Build and design the technology and underpinning infrastructure in which our digital ecosystem can grow and develop.
- Digital Roadmap and Strategy: In collaboration with Director of Digital. Reshape the way daa approaches digital. Fostering a collaborative and innovative culture, with a focus on building expertise & empowerment.
- Product Development: Guide the team to identify technical requirements, architect solutions and ensure rigorous testing strategies for all software releases. Apply software engineering best practices to ensure all solutions meet regulatory and IT Security requirements and are consistently delivered to a high standard of quality (Agile, SCRUM, DevOps, OWASP, PCI, GDPR).
- Drive Value-adding Solutions: You will research and recommend technology and processes to ensure optimal delivery, system performance and cost effectiveness. Recommend and implement digital solutions that will enhance the airport's technological ecosystem and drive commercial revenues through multiple channels, IoT, AI, and mobile app.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration with various airport departments, stakeholders, and external partners to gather insights, build consensus, and successfully deliver digital solutions.
- Communication - You will be responsible for developing strong relationships into the business at all levels. You will articulate how technology can be harnessed to drive the best possible business outcomes.Background and expertise- A bachelor's or master's Degree in a technology related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required.
- Software engineering background, with 10+ years of experience developing enterprise-scale web/cloud-based commercial software products.
- 7+ year experience building, leading, and developing multi- discipline teams, including 3rd parties, to deliver best in class Mobile Web and Native Hybrid Applications, including Architects, SW engineers, QA engineers, DBAs, Cloud Engineers.
- 10+ years of experience leading complex software development projects through all phases of the software development life cycle using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong experience of back-end and front-end web development technologies
- Experience in REST API development (ideally NodeJS/NestJS)
- Strong knowledge of modern cloud architectures and technologies. Experience with Azure is essential.
- Expertise in CI/CD, networking, operational resiliency, failover & DR (ideally with Azure)
