Junior Transport Operations Manager (Roadfreight)

• Planning and Optimization: Collaborate with the operations team to plan and optimize loads, considering factors such as distance, traffic, and delivery schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Supplier Management: Work closely with the suppliers and build relationships to ensure service levels are achieved.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation operations, such as on-time delivery, on-time arrival, turnaround times, etc. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize performance.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all suppliers comply to the required standards and insurance documentation are in order.
• Customer Service: Attend to customer complaints and inquiries, resolve delivery issues, and provide exceptional service to customers.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the transportation operations. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or operations management is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
