- Oversee the Patient Engagement practice portfolio and provide strategic input and recommendations to clients based on their specific needs, therapy areas, brands and pipeline products, supporting internal teams in delivering great solutions to our clients.
- Develop client relationships to better understand the client’s requirements and working culture/practices.
- Evaluate and quality check work before presenting to the client, making sure the deliverable is on brief.
- Manage the practice financial pipeline and provide financial oversight across accounts (i.e.: invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, financial tracking, reconciliations) using company systems.
- Advise the account team with daily oversight including prioritisation of all projects to ensure high-quality, on-time, on-budget performance.
- Co-ordinate the scheduling of internal and external meetings required for an optimal commercial planning across our portfolio.
- Inspire growth and team development, line managing the account team, developing and monitoring staff personal development and required trainings.
- Work in partnership with the executive team, ensuring they are kept informed of relevant developments and that their advice/input is sought as appropriate.
- Develop a clear understanding of the disease area associated with each account, applying SoPs to manage conflict of interests.
- Lead the development of presentations, pitches and proposals.
- Identify new business opportunities and grow business organically with existing clients.
- Internal contribution to the Patient Engagement practice development: new offering, new solutions to existing challenges
- BA or BS in marketing, communications, biology, life sciences, or related field.
- Extensive direct involvement with pharmaceutical industry, patient/ medical communications, business development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, or management and account responsibility in a healthcare communications, creative, advertising or marketing services agency.
- Experience of working in accordance with healthcare industry guidelines, patient compliance procedures, and/or standard operating procedures required.
- Proficiency in MS365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and SharPoint.
- Experience in line managing a team and support staff development.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise; with the ability to delegate, problem-solve, and set clear expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure that quality outputs are delivered to clients.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team structure.
