Join Us!!The Opportunity:IntePros Federal is seeking a Security Specialist in support of our federal government customer. The IT Systems Security Specialist supports the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of the Information Officer to provide technical, analytical, and liaison support for implementing systems and network engineering functions and activities in line with the organization's IT strategy and IT Modernization. The scope encompasses leading cross functional project teams of variable size in diverse geographical locations and maintaining NNSA Enterprise Classified Computing and unclassified networks and hosting environments. You will be part of the IT-OPS Security Program team, acting as a Liaison with the Cyber Organization, leading assessment efforts, and tracking issues such as exceptions, finding, and documentation updates as required, leading project teams.This position is best suited for solid technical individuals who has security related service delivery experience, managing multiple projects/project teams simultaneously. Projects can include an IT related topic, but with a concentration in security with background in managing audit responses, who has solid experience with STIGs, vulnerability assessments, and writing exceptions and POAMS, and tracking them. You may have T1 access to system environments to survey security patches, protocols, and asset management.Clearance: DOEQ or TS/SCI clearance required.Locations: National Capital Region (NCR):

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular meetings with NNSA OCIO senior leadership to acquire feedback on IT services at enterprise level.
  • Provides management reports on project status on projects being managed and on security related matters.
  • Ability to operate within Cloud Computing, Data Center Consolidation, Disaster Recovery (DR/COOP), Network Consolidation, Mobility, Virtualization, Backup and Recovery, Data Storage, Security, Data Encryption, conferencing and collaboration technologies.
  • Manage IT related tasks with internal staff and external stakeholders.
  • Document and maintain all IT Systems/Networks Security procedures, protocols, policies, and system standards to ensure the security and integrity of the network.
  • Coordinate and translate external security requirements to IT Operations tasks.
  • Become proficient in security guidance such as NIST, DISA STIGS, and OMB directives with their relation to managed environments.
  • Review, track, and document weekly vulnerability data as part of our Patch Management Program.
  • Support assessment and audit efforts led by the Cyber organization.

  • Classified Commodity Services (email, productivity tools, Collaboration, VDI).
  • Systems Performance Monitoring Services including Capacity Planning.
  • Secure Network Printing Services and Secure/Controlled Media Transfer Services.
  • Test bed Support Services.
  • Requirements gathering and analysis.
  • Functional testing & User acceptance testing of security practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' relevant experience in IT Operations environment.
  • 2+ years' demonstrated experience in classified and unclassified networks and systems engineering or administration in support of Enterprise IT Operations with a 3000+ nation-wide customer base.
  • 2+ years' experience operating classified and unclassified IT environment with a team of 35+ engineers, administrators, and analysts.
  • 1+ year experience in managing security programs in support of Enterprise IT Operations, focused on O&M support (STIGS, vulnerabilities, documentation) and audit response.
  • Outstanding written communication skills, e.g. writing concise, accurate, and logical plans and reports for diverse audiences including executive management.
  • Experience in managing IT Projects, Portfolio, Product Full Lifecycle, risk management, ITIL, and FISMA.
  • Familiarity with conducting analysis of trade-offs of systems, hardware, software, communications, networks, databases, and applications.
  • Experience in database systems, operations and maintenance, re-engineering, migrations, transitions, testing, architectures, training, fielding, and consolidation of enterprise data center infrastructure, applications, systems, and services.
  • Cybersecurity and incident response experience.
  • Baseline understanding of the following technologies:

Certifications:
  • Required:
  • Security + or similar IAT II security certification
  • Preferred
