This opportunity marks an exciting moment to join us at the inception and contribute to its continued expansion. In 2024, our lineup will boast an impressive array of sports content, including NASCAR Xfinity, WWE NXT, College Football and Basketball, LIV Golf, and Inside The NFL, both on our traditional broadcast platform and selectively on digital channels.We are seeking an individual with a comprehensive understanding and passion for sports, as well as a keen awareness of the evolving landscape of sports social media. This role entails not only executing marketing strategies around our diverse content offerings but also spearheading the development of vibrant social and digital communities. Central to this position is the crafting and implementation of a robust brand strategy across all social platforms, shaping our social voice and content strategies, and identifying unique opportunities in a competitive sports social media environment. Additionally, the incumbent will play a crucial role in achieving our key performance indicators (KPIs).The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess exceptional communication skills. They should thrive in collaborative environments, exhibit a perpetual curiosity, adapt seamlessly to shifting priorities, embrace constructive feedback, and approach challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset. This role strikes a balance between hands-on engagement in social media management and collaborating with the Head of Social to chart the course for the future of Social Media Sports Marketing at The CW.The Daily:Lead hands-on execution of priority sports social campaigns, serving as a bridge between sports marketing and social teamsConceptualize and editorialize social content, managing its distribution for maximum impactDevelop and maintain comprehensive content calendars across all social channelsCraft engaging copy and oversee social publishing processesFoster community growth and manage interactions across platformsStay abreast of emerging digital marketing trends, integrating them into daily strategiesMonitor sports social performance metrics, analyzing data and generating insightful reports for internal stakeholdersContribute to the creation and evolution of innovative social strategies tailored to sports platformsCollaborate closely with internal and external partners to ensure seamless execution of social campaignsOccasionally create original content and refine existing templates to maintain relevance and qualityThe Essentials:Demonstrated proficiency with 2 to 3 years of experience in roles encompassing duties similar to those outlined abovePrior experience in Sports Marketing and Social Media is essentialIn-depth understanding of digital and social audiences, with a track record of growing social followings and cultivating engaged communitiesExceptional writing abilities, capable of crafting compelling content tailored to various social platformsHighly organized and proactive approach to task management and problem-solvingFamiliarity with Sprout Social for effective social media managementProficiency with Mac OS X operating systemWhile a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, it is not mandatoryBasic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite is considered a valuable assetThe Compensation:$60K - $65K/yr commensurate with experience and skill levels.
