- Ensuring the group meets and maintains its compliance obligations
- Providing data as required, and resolving any issues with data quality
- Responding to compliance related queries
- Reviewing filings prior to submission
- Overseeing the posting of journals and processing payments
- Providing information for tax audits and supporting the Head of Tax EMEA with tax audits
- Monitoring the controls framework
- Resolving issues escalated by the compliance provider
- Other compliance activities outside the scope of the compliance provider
- Technical advice and planning across all taxes to support the Head of Tax EMEA
- Implementing process improvement
- Business partnering
- Managing the impact of relevant changes in tax legislation
- CA/CTA or equivalent qualification essential
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Technical knowledge of insurance and financial service industry is preferable
- International experience essential
- Working knowledge of UK and US GAAP
- Experience of Oracle, Hyperion and Global Access or similar packages preferable
- Ability to develop good relationships internally and externally
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage transformational change
- Able to work autonomously and take ownership of projects
