- Manage operations team to consistently meet the operating plan.
- Manages associate workforce of 20 process operators, 4 maintenance technicians and 1 warehouse associate.
- Partner with Plant Manager to develop and manage $2.2 MM/yr site budget for all spend.
- Create, execute, and report on action plans to drive out variances, while forecasting variances in future periods.
- Report on plant output to and communicate concerns regarding future delivery to site leadership.
- Work with Production Coordinator on SKU specific production plan to ensure viability of the plan, and validate that resources are adequately deployed to deliver it.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all Quality metrics and incidents to all relevant leadership.
- Represent Ingredion to 3rd party agencies and customer auditors.
- Use Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode and Equipment Analysis, and 3P tools to prevent future or recurring failures, and injuries or incidents.
- Set strategy, KPIs, and deliverables for continuous improvement toward the journey to become an injury free workplace.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all EHSS metrics and incidents to all relevant leadership.
- Drive Near Miss Team performance in each unit.
- Participate in the Site Safety Steering Committee
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations to prove OEE and yield while reducing waste and lower costs.
- Identify technologies and methodologies in the greater industry that apply to the site and develop strategies for implementation.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Engineering and Maintenance to remove obstacles and drive continuous improvement to achieve annual production of 35 MM lbs.
- Generate a committed, efficient and team-oriented attitude/philosophy and performance within the area of operations
- Coordinate with Human Resources to manage the hourly workforce in compliance with the employee handbook.
- Identify and leverage opportunities to streamline the workforce to drive synergies, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency.
- Identify high performers and recommend ongoing development opportunities for those people.
- Ensure that the site is properly staffed, without excess headcount while monitoring and controlling overtime.
- People leadership experience preferred
- 4-year degree (minimum)
- Strong leadership traits, with demonstrated success.
- Knowledge of OSHA and FDA regulations
- Good computer skills.
