SEN Learning Support Assistant

- Work closely with SENCo and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies for students with SEN.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom, to facilitate their learning and development.
- Assist students with academic tasks, social skills development, and promoting independence.
- Create and maintain a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic needs of students with SEN are met.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and SENCo.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach to supporting students with SEN.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
