School of Sport, Exercise and Health SciencesFull-time, Open-endedWe are seeking an excellent administrator to support our Doctoral Research programmes and our large cohort of doctoral researchers in the School. We aim to provide an excellent experience, environment and sense of community for these early career researchers and the postholder will be critical to this, serving as the primary contact for them and their supervisors. They will also be responsible for doctoral researcher recruitment, progression boards, graduation processes and with the administration of associated funding. In this capacity, the post holder will also work closely with and provide support to the Director of Doctoral Programmes, the Post-Graduate Research Committee, as well as doctoral researcher student representatives. While it would be desirable for the candidate to have some experience of administration in Higher Education, it is more important that they are happy working both independently and as part of a team in a busy administration role. It is essential that they have strong IT skills, good attention to detail, the ability to undertake data analysis, and the ability and confidence to build and maintain effective relationships and deal with day to day issues, recognising where more specialist support may be needed. The postholder will work dynamically, with a minimum of 60% of the week spent in our office on the Loughborough campus. This is particularly important for this role in order to build positive relationships with our doctoral researcher and academic community, identify issues, pro-actively find solutions, and ensure effective lines of communication. The School is renowned as an internationally recognised centre of excellence for the study of sport, exercise and health sciences and has been ranked No.1 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for eight years in a row. We attract doctoral researchers and staff from across the world and we work hard to ensure that everyone is provided with an inclusive environment and feels part of our community. If you have any questions about the role, or would like to speak to someone before you apply, please contact Natalie Matthewman our Research and Innovation Support Manager atThe closing date for applicants is the 6 May 2024 and interviews will take place on the 16 May 2024.Further details on the£27,979 to £32,982 subject to Annual Pay Award
