SEN KS2 Teaching AssistantLocation: Mumps, OldhamSalary: £17,500 - £23,500 depending on ExperienceStart Date: ASAPGSL Education invites applications for the position of SEN KS2 Teaching Assistant for a friendly Primary School located Mumps, Oldham. This role is designed for a compassionate and dedicated individual eager to support KS2 pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted support to KS2 students with ASC, aiding in their academic and social development.
  • Employ specialized strategies and interventions to cater to the unique learning requirements of each child.
  • Work in close partnership with classroom teachers and the SENCO to promote an inclusive educational environment.
  • Develop trusting relationships with pupils, nurturing their confidence and engagement in learning.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of activities that accommodate the varied needs of learners.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in supporting children with ASC or related special educational needs.
  • A strong grasp of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • The capacity to adapt support techniques to suit individual student needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs support is preferred.
