Job DescriptionStores CoordinatorNewton Aycliffe£26,000 - £30,160The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for a Stores Coordinator for a leading automotive company with stunning build workshops based in Newton Aycliffe and Darlington.Our client is experiencing a period of rapid growth having secured a long-term contract for exciting new bespoke hand-built vehicles to widen their existing product range. This role will suite a highly desirable car enthusiast, working for a company of fellow enthusiasts.Overview of the Role:
  • Stores Coordinator
  • Salary - £26,000 - £30,160 PA (£12.50 p/h - £14.50 p/h)
  • Holidays: 25 days plus 8 Bank holidays
  • Pension
  • Employee Referral Scheme
  • 40 hours per week Monday-Friday (early finish each Friday afternoon)
  • Location - Newton Aycliffe, just off the A1(M)

Equipped with specialised workshop bays dedicated to assembly, engine work, manufacturing, painting, and bodywork, our facility stands as a testament to our commitment to precision and quality. As we surge ahead, production at our facility is poised for rapid expansion throughout 2024, reflecting our unwavering dedication to growth and innovation.Responsibilities
  • Company Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company
  • Control of goods in/out, record keeping of goods movements
  • Raising purchase orders and liaising with central accounts on payments and deliveries
  • Co-ordinate deliveries of parts and materials between Newton Aycliffe and Darlington Sites
  • Processing and picking orders and replenishing stock in the general stores and engineering shop
  • Arranging deliveries / returns
  • Liaising with colleagues/suppliers by telephone and email to ensure required parts are available when needed by the production team
  • Contributing to stock take of parts, in house fabricated components and raw materials
  • General procurement, researching, sourcing, and ordering parts at best value
  • Driving the company vehicle between sites or to/from suppliers
  • Signing for and verifying delivery quantities
  • Stock distribution to specific locations in production areas
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting delivery shortages to the management team.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience working within a complex stores area within the automotive production industry
  • A good working knowledge of car components and technology, the ability to learn and understand the components involved in each vehicle in the product range
  • Previous experience of working as part of a team in a quality led environment
  • Confident IT skills - Use of Microsoft teams and Office i.e., outlook, excel spreadsheets
  • Excellent accuracy and a detail orientated approach to work
  • A reliable and dependable approach to each working day
  • Full clean Driving licence
Desirable Skills
  • Experience of working within a low volume assembly production line environment on bespoke vehicles
  • Previous use of DMS type company/stock/supplier management software
  • A knowledge of fabrication and materials used for fabrication of metal components
  • A knowledge of materials used in the paint and body process
  • Forklift truck licence (not essential, training provided if required)
  • An interest in/experience of classic cars, engineering and mechanics and an enthusiasm for specialist / performance vehicles
