Drilling Supplies and Hire Services, part of the RSK Group have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Mechanical Engineer/Operator to join the in-house CNC machinery team in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.We take pride in our customer commitment, supplying and delivering quality products. We have a range of CNC lathes, manual miller machines, Steel Bandsaw`s, pillar drills, and welding and brazing activities in our shop, with a wide product range and service offering.Responsibilities:
  • To work In a busy Engineering department in our small close knit team performing daily duties to a certain quality standard and required output.
  • Running, CNC flatbed lathes, Pillar drills, Milling machines, Bandsaws.
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on CNC Machinery
  • Solving minor issues on machines
  • Identifying, logging, planning and carrying out preventative repairs
  • Conducting regular machine diagnostics
  • Basic welding operations
  • Occasional Forklift operating
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Qualified at NVQ level 2 in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience Operating manual/CNC, flatbed machines. mainly threading programs and tapered threads.
  • Manufacturing background is preferable but not essential
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
​Salary and Benefits:
  • Salary between £30,212 to £32,370 depending on experience
  • Full time 8-5pm and Friday 8-4pm, 41.5-hour week
