We have an immediate need with our client for a Lead Electrical Engineer to assist with taking on project duties and offering guidance to more junior engineers. Ideally candidates will have experience with Arc Flash, Power Distribution, and Electrical Design for commercial, warehouse and light industrial facilities. A background working for an electrical contracting/engineering firm will be the best fit.Job Duties to Include:1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead project and engineering team specializing in electrical design for various projects.
2. Project Oversight:
  • Electrical design projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.
  • Arc flash coordination and short circuit studies.
  • Independently manage Neher-McGrath studies for heat dissipation and duct banks, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Provide support for modular designs and integrations with other engineering disciplines to enhance overall project effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies, goals, and objectives.
3. Collaboration and Integration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and align engineering efforts with broader company goals and initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the BIM team, facilitating efficient design workflows, addressing design and code-related issues, and enhancing project efficiency.
  • Contribute to project planning, risk management, and decision-making processes, ensuring successful project execution and timely delivery.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the engineering department.
4. Strategic Planning:
  • Contribute to project planning, risk management, and decision-making processes for successful project execution.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with company initiatives.
5. Budget and Resource Management:
  • Manage the budget and resources of the engineering department effectively.
6. Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive initiatives to enhance engineering processes and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in engineering technology.
Required:
  • Electrical Engineering Degree (BSEE or BSEET)
  • 8 plus years of electrical power and lighting design for mission-critical, commercial building and industrial facilities.
  • Project leadership experience to include planning, execution, and monitoring engineering projects.
  • Leadership skills to oversee junior engineers on their projects
