These implementations are based on standardised templated models, implemented and tailored to some extent, and then supported once implemented. These are referred to as PDMS (Programme Delivery Management System) sites, and their purpose is to act as a go-to place for all programme personnel, to access process and standards material, templates, programme news, contact information, access to other systems, to invoke some processes and support requests, and it acts further, both as a reporting access point for Power BI, and for work-in-progress document management and collaboration. It is a fee-earning role for client-facing projects and programmes. You will work on a range of projects across a cross-section of industries, working within a team-based approach, supported by an experienced practitioner, taking on responsibilities over time in line with your professional and technical development. You will be managed by Digital and IT professionals with a wealth of industry experience who will oversee your pastoral care and career progression. Mace adopts a hybrid working arrangement and as such you have the choice of carrying out your role from home, from a Mace office, or a client office, or a combination of these, noting that certain clients may require you to be on site for a proportion of the week. The role is to configure, develop, support, administrate, and enhance SharePoint related solutions within client projects and programmes based on Mace project delivery methodology, standards, and templates.You’ll be responsible for:Working through some or all of the application life-cycle stages.Understanding the project specific requirements and how to apply standards and templates and innovation that may be required.Gathering requirements project colleagues and business users and working with Business Analysts.Specifying the SharePoint development to be developed for end-user agreement.Designing and development of the SharePoint solution - drawing from and aligning to Mace and client standards.Working with colleagues and peers as part of a development and support team.Testing solutions.Delivering into live use including documentation.Administration and support for live solutions.Ongoing development and continuous improvement of live solutions.You’ll need to have:Core admin - basic SharePoint site admin, permissions, access requests.Config - create sites from templates, interpret access requests and action.Experience of working with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps/ PowerBI / Flow / Logic Apps)Understanding of SharePoint development best practices.Understanding of webservices, Http, Json, HTML, OData.Experience of PowerShell / PnP.Experience of working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.Sensitivity to the end-user experience - what a good site looks like.Experience of SharePoint add-ins such as Plumsail/Nintex forms.To own the SharePoint system within client projects and programmes and to act as internal consultant and leader at project level.Define and manage system security and data protection in line with Mace policy and the policies and standards defined for the project.Preparation of training materials and conducting training, user support; supporting inductions and awareness events.Liaise with Mace Corporate IT, partner IT functions; and other stakeholder IT functions; client and supply chain partners.Establish and chair the SharePoint/PDMS steering group within client projects - where there may be more than 1 owner for the system.Data migration into and out of the system - as may be required.Documentation of the system architecture, security and configuration as would be appropriate to be able to hand over the system to an alternative developer and/or the client at the end of the project.Keep your knowledge of SharePoint and other relevant applications up to date by undertaking training and development, independently or as directed.In addition to maintaining a high standard of technical delivery, the following traits are expected of candidates applying for this role:The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.A willingness to share knowledge and support the development of others.The confidence to ask questions, make suggestions and challenge the status quo.Excellent written and oral communication skills.A commitment to working inclusively.An aptitude for problem-solving.Good interpersonal skills.Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
