If so, we have the job for you!We have an exciting opportunity as a Teaching Assistant, working 1:1 to make a difference and nurture young people into well-rounded individuals. Our client supports young people who have struggled in mainstream education and adopt smaller classes, with 1:1 support. Whilst their students have a wide range of needs, a common thread is that all students thrive on building relationships and have the capacity to learn.You will be responsible for working with young people on a one to one basis, supporting them with their academic, social and emotional needs both within and outside of the classroom. You must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, alongside a positive and resilient attitude. A lot of learning is done outside of the classroom, so an ability to get ‘stuck in’ and engage students in a variety of activities is essential.Benefits of this role are regular staff training and opportunities to up-skill in this specialist line of work. As some activities in the working day will be off-site, the ability to drive is essential.
