We’re looking for an innovative growth-hungry and ambitious City Manager to lead our most dynamic market. This role will oversee daily operations while working directly with the North American GM to identify and execute high-impact growth initiatives.This role requires a curious, hungry, high-EQ team player. The ideal candidate is both comfortable and energized working in a spreadsheet and running or operating in a retail operation. They can also pivot to developing and executing strategy, while being an exceptional people manager who loves the responsibility of leading and developing a team. The NYC City Manager has to operate at all altitudes, whether it’s whiteboarding on strategic partnerships with the North American GM, developing a performance management system, scouting a new location, or performance managing frontline workers. - Own the overall P&L for NYC.
- Drive growth in ridership, retention, and revenue.
- Build operational and cost efficiencies.
- Motivate, coach, and develop a team covering front of house retail, back of house mechanics, field operations, and logistics while building a positive culture.
- Own the hiring, performance management, and development of your team.
- Set expectations, provide constructive feedback, and ensure team accountability.
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the day-to-day retail operations.
- Effectively manage and resolve escalated issues or conflicts involving customers, staff, or operational challenges.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience and instill customer-centric values in the team.
- Work closely with the General Manager to develop and execute high-impact strategic initiatives, including B2B partnerships, operating models, and new growth opportunities.
- Be a thought partner with the overall North American leadership team for new initiatives and opportunities.
- Contribute to long-range planning, including OKRs and forecasting.
- Identify high-impact process improvement opportunities and spearhead optimization workstreams, including supply chain management, plan repricing, and fleet management software migration.
- Lead improvement initiatives from conception to completion. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets; manage cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure progress against goals.
- Build and implement SOPs for new policies, procedures, and best practices.
- 4+ years of experience in retail ops, strategy, consulting, and/or biz ops, including 2+ years of management experience.
- Retail operations and frontline management.
- Startup and micromobility experience is a plus.
- Team management and development.
- Skilled operator with a strong on-floor presence who gets things done.
- Strategic and analytical thinker (Gsheets / Excel proficiency; SQL is a plus).
- Ownership mentality. No job is too big or too small.
- Self-starter. Excited by a growth environment and willing to try new strategies while keeping the focus on achieving results.
- Agility. Thrives in rapidly changing, fast-paced, and ambiguous conditions. Able to bounce across a wide range of disciplines, including both technical and non-technical areas.

- Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 Depending on experience
