- Provide expert knowledge in Network hardware and software systems for TABS/TBS/TGCS, and leads other team members in effective utilization of all technologies.
- Plan and perform analysis of Network infrastructure and guide the subsequent design and implementation or improvement of existing technology- based Network systems and applications.
- Provide technical assessment of requirements and definition from conception to launch.
- Collaborate with end users and management. Manage and maintain network systems, security appliances, wired and wireless infrastructure and cloud services.
- Work with end users and management to identify and resolve problems and develop and implement solutions resulting in the most efficient decision.
- Evaluate and analyze systems and usage to develop and recommend enhancements as appropriate.
- Manage network projects as directed to ensure seamless implementation.
- Utilize the abilities of other team members and provide guidance where needed to achieve optimum results.
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot infrastructure related to network equipment and services.
- Manage vendors, monitor and analyze performance to standards and work with vendors to achieve stated SLA objectives.
- Design and validate network performance, quality and reliability.
- Monitor network systems and equipment, such as bandwidth usage, up/down status using third party software.
- Maintain monitoring software, respond to malfunctions, abnormalities or emergency situations relating to Network operations. Recommend site upgrades as appropriate.
- Develop materials and support documentation where appropriate.
- Keep abreast of new trends.
- Research present and future communications technologies which best meet company needs and requirements functionally and economically.
- Assist other IT teams (server, storage, desktop) in day-to-day operations. Work side by side and assist other network and telecom personnel as needed.
- Lead other engineers in developing and designing network solutions. Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a combination of the following areas: Planning and network design, implementation and support of network infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience with campus LANS, multiple data centers, cloud providers, Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless Controllers, and associated software/hardware.
- Experience working on large scale projects.
- Solid working knowledge in some discipline outside the networking field to broaden the scope to which you may have input. This other discipline could be, but is not limited to, OS (Linux, Windows), storage (Netapp, EMC), application, or cloud.
- Must have CCIE or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience with the following protocols; TCPIP, EIGRP, BGP, IPSec, ESP, GRE, SMTP, NTP, DNS, IOS, ASDM. TACACs, AAA, OSPF, RIP, VRF, spanning-tree, telnet, ssh, tftp, ftp.
- Must have demonstrated experience with the following platforms; Cisco Routing, Switching, Wireless, Firewall, Enterprise Routing, DMVPN, Site-Site VPN, Remote Access VPN, Brocade, Redhat, VMWare, HyperV, Cloud, HVS, VOIP, AD, DNS, DHCP.
- Ability to collaborate and work on cross-department and cross-company projects.
- Must be available for On-call responsibilities.
