- Level 5 qualification and 5 years experience in a similar role OR a Level 6 qualification and 3 years experience in a similar role
- Similar recent experience must included providing expert advice and guidance to managers on resourcing matters. In particular this must have included the full remit of talent deployment, recruitment and selection
- CIPD Level 7 or equivalent plus professional membership is highly desirable
- Experience of designing and assessing competency based selection methods is essential
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Comprehensive working knowledge of equal opportunities, recruitment and selection
- Recruiting in the public sector would be highly advantageous
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting and compliance due to the nature of this work
- Operate as an internal resources consultant to redesign and implement a fresh and innovative approach to resourcing and the deployment of employees within the College
- The design and delivery of competency based assessment centres as part of the delivery of this new approach
- Produce management guideline/ toolkit and a new recruitment procedure
- Review and update social media advertising and careers website
- Updating of polices and procedures
- To use innovation and creativity in the development and implementation of selection methods for the College
- To provide a resourcing consultancy service to the HR business partner team and the managers within the College
- To ensure that equality and diversity is embedded fully
- To manage and monitor the College's appointment policy and procedure to ensure fairness and consistency
- To advise senior management on the utilisation and deployment of lecturing staff, including the balance between the employment of full time, associate and hourly paid part time lecturers
- To ensure that contracts of employment are issued to hourly paid part time lecturers
- To ensure that effective systems are established, maintained and implemented for the recruitment of hourly paid part time lecturers and for the appointment of such staff, including emergency appointments
