Today, our client has two distinct lines of business:
- Renewable energy tax credit investing and syndication
- Private credit investment platform focused on small businesses
- Draft and review financial models for utility scale renewable energy projects including revenue structure, reasonableness of the expenses and certain economic schedules.
- Engage with sell side bankers and brokers to onboard new deal origination and initial diligence.
- Create investor presentation decks and benefit schedules as new deals are sourced.
- Maintenance of investment opportunity pipeline as well as the internal investment committee deal tracker.
- Active participation in investment committee and opportunity ranking for investors.
- Research renewable energy programs across the US territories and prepare write-ups.
- Draft and deliver presentations for investors, capital providers, borrowers, and joint venture partners.
- Assist asset management team with third parties on delivery of periodic reports, financials, tax returns to ensure capital provider obligations are satisfied.
- Analyze market risk factors and pricing.
- Support initiatives to help the business in achieving its strategic objectives.
- Travel for business and attend conferences as necessary.
- Ad hoc research, investor requests and other tasks critical to the platform's operations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills including use of complex functions and ability to create well-organized presentations of information to formulate conclusions.
- Understanding of financial, tax (capital accounts, outside tax basis, depreciation schedules, DRO mechanics, etc), accounting, and investment concepts associated with tax credit transactions.
- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to create as well as deliver effective presentations.
- Manages self and others to provide exceptional client service by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality, accountability, and integrity.
- Ability to evaluate complex situations and independently make decisions on significant matters.
- Self-motivated intellectual curiosity.
- Experience with renewable energy infrastructure and related project finance.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related area.
- Advanced degree and/or CFA, CPA certification is optional.
- Experience in renewable energy, accounting, and/or finance is strongly preferred.
