Associate Propulsion System EngineerCompany: BBST - BrazilJob ID: 00000425225Date Posted: 2024-05-07Location: BRA - Sao Jose dos Campos, BrazilJob Description Qualifications:Boeing Brazil is seeking Associate Propulsion System Engineer, reporting to the Propulsion Engineering Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office.The Associate Propulsion System Engineer will join Boeing Commercial Aircraft team who provide support to all Boeing commercial models both in development and in airline service. These models include programs such as the 737MAX, 747-8, 767, 777, 787, the 777-9 family of airplanes, or all-new airplane(s) that our product development organization studies.The engineers will work on the Propulsion System Design and Certification for Thrust Reverser, Thrust Reverser Actuation System, Engine Controls, Fuels, Fuel Quantity Indication System, Engine Installation and other System Integration activities.Position Responsibilities:Supports definition of requirements for the functions above.Supports definitions, coordination and control of the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicle.Supports development of specifications and architectural and configuration concepts for associated vehicle fuel systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.Supports design of propulsion sub-systems and components to meet all vehicle design and performance criteria.Supports use of various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance.Supports definition and performance of certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.Supports fielded systems to assure continued reliability and airworthiness.Supports development of concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements.Write FHA, SSA reports, Test Proposals, Test Results, Certifications Plans, and Issue Papers.Work assignments, collaborate with teammates, and receive tasking from lead managers and senior engineers.Work under general supervision.Support technical aspects with other senior, experienced and principal engineers within the Propulsion System and with other cross-functional areas.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Must have existing rights to work in BrazilMust have a degree in EngineeringMust be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilians engineers, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor.Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English LanguagePreferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):Knowledge or certification through FAA or other regulatory agenciesRelevant experience with system design and integration during an airplane development programOccasional travel may be required in support of the program and customerRelevant experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environmentRelocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
