Project Engineers are at the heart of Technoshell's new IO project execution
framework, playing a key role in ensuring projects are delivered with excellence from initiation to handover. The primary responsibility encompasses complete project management - planning, adapting, and overseeing the project from kick-off until the learning protocol meeting (Closing of Learning protocol points signifies the project is ready for dispatch).
This role demands a high level of interpersonal co-ordination, planning and review as well as a proactive approach for building relationships, deep understanding of process knowledge, and an empathetic approach of team collaboration. Expert (PPC & Vendor Development)Project Engineer
Your responsibilities include following prime objectives but not limited to –
1. Ensure Project Planning for On-Time Delivery, from Kick-off to
dispatch
Able to plan IO's complete tasks and schedules according to kickoffs as per
sales priority to meet the timelines of sales commitment and quality standards
of Technoshell.
Being the "Project Owner", has deep understanding and knowledge of
company's processes throughout all departments needed for the prject
planning process, ensuring meticulous attention to detail from kickoff through
to the learning protocol meeting, ultimately leading to dispatch.
Develop and implement detailed project schedules based on internal orders,
aligning with sales priorities to meet delivery commitments.
Conduct all activities involved in the Point system policy to enhance project
tracking, accountability, rewarding and milestone achievement of team in a fair,
knowledgeable and an ethical point of view.
Take ownership of closing rework points, even though their may be currently in responsibility of another department such as Test & Trials, to ensure project adheres to timelines and quality standards.
Conduct and be involved in RCAs for all defects in project and delays.2. Vendor Outsourcing and Development
Responsible for overseeing, handling and co-ordinating with vendors, internal
purchase team and HOD for vendor outsourcing, vendor development, vendor
auditing and rating.
Plan internal and vendor job load efficiently and effectively, in order to meet the project deadlines and fulfil the sales commitment to the customer.
Facilitate HOD and team with clear and easy communication regarding vendors assigned to you.
Conduct audits and provide improvement targets for vendor development with
consultation of HOD.
3. Initiatives and responsibilities
Takes self initiatives to improve productivity of department's functioning with a
creative and innovative approach.
Contributes to the major activities of departmental functioning at the
operational (functional) level.
Improves our processes to make them more lean and defect free and
introduces new process methods.
Is actively involved in Technoshell CFTs (Cross Functional Teams).
Is able to grasp, work on, and show improvement in check-ins.4. Reporting, Documentation and Cost Reduction
Regularly report on project status, providing updates on progress, challenges,
and resolutions to Project Team Leader and PPC team.
Take ownership of project costing and monthly MIS reporting, ensuring
transparency and accountability.
Maintain up-to-date documentation on Zoho Projects, ensuring accurate
record-keeping and procedural adherence.5. Co-ordination & Teamwork
Facilitate co-ordination between all departments, especially sales, design,
production, and test & trials to ensure product quality standards and project
efficiency.
Promote a culture of open communication and teamwork, using tools like Zoho Projects, Google, WhatsApp, etc for task management and updates.6. Trainings and development
Take responsibility for your training and development by identifying your
personal training needs and follow-up by pursuing relevant skill development
opportunities.
Conduct training sessions for subordinates, operators and team members,
fostering a culture of continuous learning and multi-skilling.

subordinates & team, emphasising daily small improvements and operational excellence.Additional Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all PPC administration and activities run smoothly.
Ensure timely or speedily execution of every order.
Maintaining accurate records of production and costing.
Analysing project costing, vendor audits and vendor performance metrics to
determine and improve vendor performance (First Time Right and On Time
Delivery).
Daily Small Improvements (DSIs): To improve the way we do work. DSIs are
daily small improvements, however small, which reflect our continual
improvement culture. Technoshell thrives on this and the team would expect
your ideas, efforts and initiatives in improving the way we design and make
machines.
5S: To maintain and improve the 5S of your assigned workplaces at
Technoshell, participate in quality excellence initiatives to improve and sustain
5S at Technoshell.
