We deliver connectivity across 52+ sites, hosting critical applications, enabling collaboration and securing and connecting applications through innovative identity and integration solutions providing exemplary support through our end user services team.About the RoleThe Cloud Architect proactively and holistically leads and supports activities that guide the development and management of technical and infrastructure solutions. These solutions enable the organization’s future-state business capabilities and drive the organization’s targeted business outcomes. Technologies include data center, infrastructure, cloud, AI, edge computing and database technologies.As a Cloud Architect you will create and formulate strategy for the adoption of Cloud services, work with internal business teams to deeply understand their business and technical needs, act as a technical liaison between partners and the support engineering teams as well as develop complete and track Cloud Security and Governance measures.Responsibilities:Define principles, frameworks and technology mentorship working with peers such as enterprise, information, applications and security architects. Analyzes enterprise business context to derive the future-state technology architecture.Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommend solutions for improvement.Drive digital innovation by using innovative technologies and transforms existing IT landscape to drive long term value and outcomesDefine high-level plans to address the gaps between the future and current state, in sync with the IT budgeting or other capital planning processes.Guide technology investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation to drive targeted business outcomes while ensuring nonfunctional requirements are met.Assists with governance, assurance and standards ensuring enterprise technology architecture compliance of projects and products.Coordinate and facilitate the research, evaluation, and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations.Coordinate Technical architecture review across platforms and projects and ensure alignment to architecture principles and standards.Run POC pilots and deliver working, production-ready IT services that can be easily used by agile teams.Work closely with the product managers, product owners and EA architects to enable infrastructure agility, scalability and resilience to support required business and lifecycle needsAbout YouBasic Qualifications:10+ years of design and implementation experience in IT, with a deep knowledge in the following technical disciplines: Cloud technologies, infrastructure and network design, application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), middleware, servers and storage, database management and operations, clustering technologies, virtualization, Active Directory, Collaboration and workspace technologies and related protocols10+ years of experience in Linux based Operating Systems like CentOS, Ubuntu and automation of AMI rollouts.8+ years of engineering and architecture experience with AWS6+ years of experience with logging, monitoring, analyzing data using Cloud native tools4+ years of experience with automation using tools like terraform, Github.4+ years of Design/improve CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and development of applications.4+ years experience with assessing Security posture of Cloud implementationsOther Qualifications:Large scale on-Premises to Cloud migration, involving thousands of virtual machines and physical serversExposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environmentsKnowledge of ITSM, ITIL and IT standards and controls and architectural paradigms such as TOGAFUnderstanding of financial models and budgeting and ability to estimate financial impact of technology alternativesUnderstanding of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize, and DevOps)Displays curiosity, remains technology neutral and drives long term outcomes balancing big picture and immediate prioritiesContainerizing applications and using Kubernetes for building micro-services based application architectures.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experienceWorkday Pay Transparency StatementThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.
