Join WatchGuard in this fight to keep our customer's safe from the perils of the internet.About the PositionThe Project Management position will play a key role in expanding WatchGuard's new Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service to our customers. The ideal candidate will be a strong project manager and have managed project teams comprised of both local and global resources. They will also have had experience working and managing in an environment with managed services providers or have worked as a project manager for a managed services vendor. They must be comfortable working in a dynamic organization with high delivery and quality demands.The right candidate has strong communication and interpersonal skills, time management skills, and can develop an acute understanding how the department and project fits into the broader organization. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a broad technical knowledge, can see applications and systems from a service delivery perspective, and make sound project decisions. A successful candidate will build cross-functional partnerships with Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to enable successful delivery of managed services across the entire enterprise.This role reports directly to the Vice President of Product Delivery Operations and is part of a supportive, experienced team. If you are looking for a challenge and you're enthusiastic, self-motivated, and want to grow your program management career, WatchGuard has the perfect role for you.A day in the life… You will likely have e-mail from your world-wide teammates when you start your day. You tackle your e-mail and participate in meetings using Microsoft Teams or Zoom when scheduled. As a Project Manager, you will likely be hosting or leading some of these meetings. You will likely arrange calls with key members of your team to understand their status, challenges, and risks. You will be updating the status of your projects primarily using Confluence and Jira, but also in Excel or PowerPoint when appropriate. You will arrange time for product learning either through hands-on training or internal websites, videos, and documentation. At the end of the day, you reflect on the progress made as well as new risks and challenges identified; but you recognize the importance of your engagement in moving your programs towards its goals. \nPosition Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and adjusting timelines as necessary.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, proactively resolving issues and mitigating risks.
  • Coordinate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Identify roadblocks, issues and anticipate risks that may inhibit overall project progress and/or release success and report/escalate them to the appropriate stakeholder(s)
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment where equity and inclusion are highly valued.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate team members.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving results.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools and techniques
  • Experience in managed services industry is a plus.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Preferred work location: Bilbao area
