- Provide expertise in French local accounting and indirect tax compliance services.
- Ensure accurate IFRS group accounting and reporting.
- Manage relationships with local administrative bodies, fiscal auditors, unions, and employees.
- Establish and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, including site management and operational teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Site Manager on local compliance matters.
- Collaborate closely with the Site Controller to align financial compliance with P&L and balance sheet requirements.
- Work alongside the Local Entity Controller (LEC) to standardize journal entries and ensure correct account allocation.
- Interface with group auditors, responding to inquiries and managing fiscal-related topics.
- Handle French administrative tools such as INSEE and tax declaration platforms (e.g., ETAFI).
- Stay up to date with changes in French financial regulations and integrate new rules into business calculations and declarations.
- Support budget preparation and ensure compliance with both French GAAP and group financial guidelines.
- Manage fiscal declaration timelines and regulatory deadlines (e.g., INSEE inquiries, specific local tax obligations).
- Maintain autonomy in decision-making, providing strategic advice and compliance solutions.
- Be proactive in understanding company-wide evolutions and business integrations.
- Leverage ERP systems such as SAP and other reporting tools to enhance financial processes.
- Effectively translate local accounting and tax questions for group-level colleagues.
- Several years of experience in French legal compliance, accounting, and indirect tax regulations.
- Strong expertise in IFRS and French GAAP.
- Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to different communication styles based on interlocutors (administration, auditors, operational teams, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear recommendations.
- Experience in working with SAP and financial reporting tools.
- Strong autonomy, decision-making ability, and advisory skills.
- Proactive mindset with a keen interest in regulatory and financial developments.
- Experience in handling group audit processes and responding to fiscal inquiries.
- Knowledge of fiscal administration platforms and local compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage workload based on seasonal financial obligations and reporting deadlines.
